Pathfinder

Adaptive learning for neurodivergent students in Africa

Community support is not open yet.

About

Pathfinder is a neurodiversity-first adaptive learning platform for secondary school and university students in Nigeria and West Africa. Every lesson has 4 explanation levels (plain language, real-world analogy, visual, interactive question). Students learn at their own pace with voice support for dyslexic learners. Teachers get a dashboard showing real student progress. University students can upload lecture PDFs and get instant micro-lessons with AI.

Pitch

Pathfinder is an adaptive learning platform that teaches neurodivergent students in Nigeria and West Africa the way their brain actually works not the way schools expect it to work. Here is what we built: Every lesson has 4 explanation levels. Students start at Level 1 (plain language, no jargon). Level 2 uses real-world analogies rooted in Nigerian daily life. Level 3 is visual (hand-crafted SVG diagrams or step-by-step breakdowns). Level 4 is interactive questions with instant feedback. Students move deeper only if they need to. No penalties. No time limits. Every lesson has voice support. Dyslexic students can listen instead of read. Teachers get a dashboard showing real progress for each student. University students upload lecture PDFs and get instant micro-lessons with AI. Teachers create a class with one code. Students enter the code and join. That's it. Why it matters: Neurodivergent students in Nigerian classrooms are mislabeled as lazy or unintelligent. The same lesson is delivered to every student regardless of how their brain works. Teachers have zero visibility into why students struggle. At university, ADHD students face an executive function crisis with no support. Pathfinder solves this by adapting how teaching happens, not just what is taught. Why you should use Pathfinder: Because it is the only platform in Africa designed from day one for neurodivergent learners. We tested with 9 real students during build. They said: "I finally understand without exhaustion." "I don't feel stupid anymore." "Teachers can finally see I'm not lazy."
