About
KONKON LIVE
Buy, sell and deliver. Your everyday partner, right where you are.
SHORT DESCRIPTION
Konkon Live is a map marketplace for Nigeria. Find used, new and digital items near you, pay through escrow so the seller is only paid when you confirm with your 4-digit code, and either pick the item up or have a rider deliver it.
ABOUT KONKON LIVE
Buying and selling locally in Nigeria shouldn't mean chasing strangers on WhatsApp, paying upfront and hoping for the best. Konkon Live shows you what's for sale around you on a map, holds your money safely until the deal is done, and can send a rider to bring the item to your door.
Before you pay, you only see the neighbourhood of an item, for example "Somewhere in Ushafa". The exact address is shared with you after payment.
Whether you're clearing out your home, running a shop, selling digital products or hunting for a good deal close by, Konkon Live takes you from "I want that" to "it's in my hands" with your money protected all the way.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Find it near you. Search for an item or a place, like "Fridge in galadimawa", and browse what's for sale on the map.
2. Pay into escrow. Pay from your Konkon wallet, which you top up through Paystack by card or bank transfer. Your money is locked in escrow, not sent to the seller, and you receive a 4-digit code.
3. Pick up or get it delivered. For pickup, you meet the seller, check the item, and the seller enters your code to be paid. For delivery, you agree a fare with a rider or delivery company, pay it into a second escrow, and give the rider your delivery code when the item arrives.
4. The seller gets paid. The money is released only when the code is entered. If something goes wrong before then, your money is still safe.
WHAT YOU CAN BUY AND SELL
Declutter: something you own, one item.
Thrift: pre-owned goods you resell, one of a kind.
Shop: new goods, with stock, details and options like size or colour.
Digital products: ebooks, documents, templates, software, courses, audio, video and images.
Listing is free. Digital products with a preview are delivered and paid for straight away. Other digital products are held for 2 hours after payment. You get your download at once, and the seller is paid after 2 hours unless you report a problem.
KEY FEATURES
Escrow with 4-digit codes Your payment is locked until you give your code at pickup or delivery. The seller is never paid for an item you haven't received.
Address privacy Only the neighbourhood shows before payment, on a map point that is deliberately shifted. Your exact address stays private until the buyer has paid.
Delivery Riders and delivery companies bid to deliver. You pick the fare you're happy with. Riders and companies must have their papers approved before they can take jobs.
Orders and receipts Follow every order from payment to handover, and save or share a PDF receipt.
SafeLink Create a short link to any of your items and share it on WhatsApp, Instagram or anywhere else. Buyers who arrive through a SafeLink still pay through escrow.
Agent search Can't find what you need nearby? Leave a search. Sellers in your area are told, and they can send you matching items. You buy with the normal checkout.
Follow sellers Follow a seller and get an alert the moment they post something new.
Wallet Top up with Paystack, pay for orders from your wallet, and withdraw to your bank after a quick identity check.

DIGITAL LAND
Digital land is a separate part of Konkon Live. You can buy parcels of virtual land on the Konkon map, earn rent when advertisers lease billboard slots on your parcel, and sell it to another user after you have held it for 30 days.
Each parcel comes with a purchase receipt, a certificate of occupancy and a deed of assignment, which move to the new owner on resale. Anyone can check who owns a parcel today for N500 (free for Seller Pro).
Digital land is a virtual asset inside Konkon Live. It is not real estate, and the documents are Konkon records, not government title documents.
ADVERTISE ON KONKON LIVE
Lease a billboard slot on the map and your ad is seen in the Explore list, Orders and Wallet. You see how many people saw it, opened it and clicked through.
FEES
Buyers pay: - A 0.5% service fee. - 7.5% VAT on new and digital items. Used items carry no VAT by default. - The payment-processing fee, about 1.5% (plus N100 on orders from N2,500, capped at N2,000). - For delivery, the agreed fare plus a 3% platform fee. The full total is always shown before you pay.
Sellers pay no listing fee. When a sale completes, Konkon keeps a commission from the item price: 7% on used items, 3% on new items and 10% on digital items, with a minimum of N100. The rest goes to your wallet.
IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG
Cancelling an order: - Before delivery is paid for. - After you've paid for delivery but the item is still with the seller, the item amount is refunded. - Once the rider has taken the item, a 3% cancellation fee applies and the item is returned to the seller. - If a seller cancels, the buyer is refunded in full.
Disputes on delivery orders: You can open a dispute before you give the delivery code if the item is the wrong one, faulty, or never arrived. All the money stays locked while the dispute is open. The result is a return and refund, or a return and replacement. A lost item is decided by Konkon support. After you give your delivery code you still have 24 hours to report a problem.
If the seller hasn't handed the item to the rider within 72 hours of delivery being paid, you can ask for a new rider or cancel.
FOR RIDERS AND DELIVERY COMPANIES
Sign up as a lone rider or as a delivery company, get your papers approved, and bid on delivery jobs near you. Konkon keeps 15% of each fare. Companies set their own riders' commission.
