Ethical Ledger

Ethical Ledger helps individuals manage everyday finances without complicated accounting or spreadsheets. Users can record income and expenses, track money lent to others, manage loan requests, monitor debts they owe, and maintain repayment histories with automatically updated balances. The app is designed for personal financial organisation and interest-free lending, with no interest rates, late fees, or penalty calculations.

The application uses a local-first approach, storing records in the browser by default and supporting offline use on mobile devices and computers. Users can optionally create an account to synchronize records through cloud storage. Reporting and data portability features include PDF statements, CSV exports, and full JSON backups. Ethical Ledger also provides privacy controls for managing and deleting records. It records financial activity but does not hold, transfer, or process users' money.
